Introducing a financial tech company as a Downtown stakeholder

Fiserv is a multinational company that provides financial technology services to clients across the financial services sector, including banks, thrifts, credit unions, securities broker dealers, mortgage, insurance, leasing and finance companies, and retailers.

Engagement Challenge

In 2022, Fiserv announced that they would be moving their corporate headquarters from Brookfield to the heart of Downtown Milwaukee on Wisconsin Avenue. In 2023-2024, NEWaukee was hired to help Fiserv introduce themselves as a new Downtown stakeholder and to connect them with local small businesses and job-seeking attendees via their sponsorship of the Milwaukee Night Market.

Engagement Solution

NEWaukee worked with their team to design, coordinate, and execute the “Clover Corner” directly outside of their new headquarters located at Wisconsin Avenue and Vel R Phillips Avenue in the footprint of the Night Market. 

We created an interactive and engaging space for Night Market attendees and vendors to relax, have fun, and learn about Clover point of sale services and open positions at Fiserv while providing the best view of the event from atop the lounge shipping container.

Key Insights

NEWaukee hosted a series of planning meetings with Fiserv staff to uncover the following insights:

  • The activation should introduce Clover, a point of sale system, to the small businesses that vend at the event both on site during the event and in communications to vendors pre and post event.

  • The activation should feature Clover products and representatives to talk with vendors about the product and services available.

  • Fiserv employees should be on site to showcase Fiserv as a great place to work to attendees who might be looking for a job.

  • The activation should also engage general Night Market attendees, offering an engaging experience and adding value to the Night Market overall - additional seating, photo opportunities, swag, etc.
