What school did you go to or graduate from?
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Where’s your hometown/ neighborhood?
Mequon WI

What’s your position at NKE?
Social Media and Events Intern

How did you hear about NEWaukee?
The Night Market

How long have you been with the company?
Three weeks

How would you describe NEWaukee’s mission in your own words?
NEWaukee is a company that creates networking opportunities for both businesses people to connect, and for the community to connect with each other to build Milwaukee closer.

What’s been your favorite event/initiative to create?
Researching student organizations to partner with different YPWeek events.

How do you see NEWaukee growing in the future?
NEWaukee should be a household name, where recent graduates go to find a job, community members go to find volunteer work, and Milwaukeeans go to meet new people. Ideally, I think it would be amazing if it branched off into different major cities, having Chicago and Minneapolis each with their own version on NEWaukee, with the headquarters, of course, still located in Milwaukee.

What’s your favorite album/artist?
Since roughly 2013 I have stuck by the fact that twenty one pilots is my favorite band, but they have been going through a slight hiatus for the past year or so, and in the meantime I have found the album Gone Now by Bleachers to be absolutely fantastic. Also I am in love with anything Glass Animals puts out. All three bands are unbelievable live.

If you were stuck on a desert island, what three items would you bring?

  1. A working router (which I guess works by magic or something) to connect to the internet
  2. A computer (which I could use to listen to music, find “how to survive on an island” articles, use Google Earth to find my little island and when I get antsy, send someone an email telling them where I am.)
  3. A months supply of fettuccine alfredo for when I want to treat myself

Where’s your favorite space to go/hang out/eat in Milwaukee?
Recently, I found out that the restaurant Balzac on Brady St. has an event every Sunday at 10pm where all bottles of wine are half off and when you buy a half-off bottle, they will also give you all leftover specials from that week (they make them that day they just will have no use for the ingredients once the week is over. Trust me its good. I had a couscous octopus salad the other night.) So me and about 10 friends will split about 6 bottles of wine and a four course family style meal in preparation for the week to come.
