Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?
As a Strategic Planning Manager at Aurora, I have the opportunity to assist our organization with planning for our continued and future success. In this role, I help to translate our enterprise strategic priorities of Best Brand, Best Value and Best People into tangible, tactical road maps for the next 5 years. As I support a number of departments and initiatives, I also have the opportunity to work with the incredible leaders we have in our organization.

How long have you lived in MKE & what brought you here?
My husband and I moved to Milwaukee a year and a half ago from Chicago. He had an employment opportunity with a great company in Brookfield, and once I found the position with Aurora, we packed up and headed north.

What do you love most about MKE?
Milwaukee is the perfect blend of big city amenities with small town convenience.  We have so many events, great museums, professional sports teams, restaurants, you name it without having some of the headaches that come with larger cities, such as traffic, steep pricing for tickets, etc.

What local restaurant is at the top of your list?
Lakefront Fish Fry – You can’t get more Milwaukeean than that! One – you’re at brewery. Two – Friday night fish fry is totally a Wisconsin thing, Lent or no Lent, and Lakefront does a great job. Three – they have a polka band, which is always great entertainment between the band and those doing the chicken dance.

What is your favorite MKE tradition?
Summerfest is one of my favorite traditions here in Milwaukee. As a music lover, it doesn’t get much better than 2 weeks of music on the lakefront. The variety of performers makes it a great event for everyone.

What neighborhood do you live in and why do you love it?
We moved to Wauwatosa, and we love it! Having come from a high-rise condo in Chicago, we were looking for a house with a yard and parking spots we didn’t have to pay for. Tosa, as we’ve come to call it, was the perfect location. We have numerous restaurants within walking distance from home, a great neighborhood association, and an easy commute into downtown Milwaukee.
