What’s a NEWaukee Social?
We take the stuffiness out of the average networking event by throwing in food and drink specials, showcasing the city’s newest venues, and bringing in local artists and musicians. The January Social powered by NEWaukee &  OnMilwaukee brings together hundreds of young professionals – whether you’ve lived here for awhile or are brand new to Milwaukee – to share a drink, meet each other, and meet the city!

All are welcome to join the NEWaukee Socials, whether individually or in a group. There is no cost or membership fee and the dress code is open.

Live Music: Bryan Cherry
Drink Specials:
$4 double rail drinks
$3 Tully shots
$3 Miller pints

We’re excited to partner with the Harbor District!

The Harbor District is 1,000 acres of land and 9 miles of waterfront located between the Third Ward, Walker’s Point, the Near South Side, and Bay View where the Milwaukee, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic Rivers come together and flow into Lake Michigan.  The area is home to Port Milwaukee, MMSD’s Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility, the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences, and many local businesses and industries.  Many former industrial properties in the District are now vacant or underused and present an opportunity for us to renvision this part of our city for the future.  Harbor District, Inc. is a nonprofit organization working to achieve a world-class revitalization of Milwaukee’s harbor that sets the standard for how waterfronts work – environmentally, economically, and socially – for the next century.

Harbor District, Inc. and the City of Milwaukee recently completed a two-year planning process to develop the future vision for the Harbor District.  Developed with input from residents, business and property owners, community organizations, and government agencies, the Harbor District Water and Land Use Plan identifies strategies and actions aimed at transforming this area and achieving a new working waterfront for the 21st century.  Check out the plan at and let us know what you think.  Harbor District, Inc. and its many partners are already hard at work on a variety of projects that advance the goals of the plan.  Habitat hotels that create space for fish to live in the harbor, public art to brighten the District, and a new park to attract nearby residents to the water are examples of a few projects Harbor District, Inc. is working on.  To learn more and get involved visit them online at
