Where do you work and what makes your role awesome?
I am a Financial Advisor & College Unit Director for the Lueder Financial Group of Northwestern Mutual. It is my mission to be a Difference Maker in the lives of others and I get the opportunity to fulfill that each day. With my Advising practice, I work with clients to identify their financial security needs and then focus on solutions that can help make those financial goals a reality. Through our Top 10 Rated Internship program, I get to inspire and challenge professional students to achieve their greatest potential. My role is awesome, because I get to meet new people, hear new stories, and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
How long have you lived in MKE & what brought you here?
I was born in raised in the suburbs of Milwaukee. I’ve lived in several different suburbs and am always a quick drive away from downtown. My wife and I will always be close to the city.
What do you love most about MKE?
I love that there is always something going on! If it is going for a run on Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront with my wife or grabbing dinner with friends, Milwaukee offers something for everyone. The city continues to amaze me with all the new businesses that are making Milwaukee home.
What is one word that you would use to describe MKE?
Thriving! Business leaders in the area are looking for ways to collaborate with universities and our local leaders to bring more attention to how great Milwaukee is. In my opinion, this is the best place for a young professional to start a career and also start a family.
What is your biggest hope for this city?
My biggest hope for our city is our ability to celebrate our diversity. Milwaukee is a beautiful city with beautiful people. Because of this, Milwaukee has a unique opportunity to bring us all together. There are many organizations that are leading this initiative and I am excited to see the progress.
What neighborhood do you live in and why do you love it?
My wife and I currently reside in West Allis with our son, who is 7 months old. It is centralized so much and is very easy to get downtown or out to the western suburbs as well. No matter where life takes our family, we will always be a quick drive from downtown Milwaukee.
